On the navigation panel, click Settings. The Meeting tab can be found at the top. The Embed passcode in the link that allows a click on is enabled when checked in Security. By clicking the toggle, you can enable the setting if it has been disabled. You can do so by clicking on Account Management then Account Settings in the navigation panel. Choose Meeting from the drop down menu. For one-click join, verify that the Embed passcode link for one-click join is enabled under Security.
You can enable or disable the setting by clicking the toggle. Opening Hours : Mon – Fri: 8am – 5pm. Click Profile. The Customize option next to Personal Link will be selected. Please enter your username and what type of link you want to create. The link must have just one letter or two numbers, plus a period. Click Save Changes. The Zoom web portal can be accessed by registering. Click Customize next to Personal Link to select the options you want to customize.
The name of the person or a hyperlink in the ID is desired. The Settings option can be found on the navigation panel. Click the Meeting tab. Verify that the passcode-in link is enabled for joining in Security once the link has been embed. Enabling the setting can be done by clicking the toggle if the setting has been disabled. You will find an ID for your personal meeting room displayed. Make the Join URL aka link for the personal meeting room you would use invite students to sessions in that one for the future.

Back in the early days of the COVID pandemic, people who wanted to get together while staying safe from infection discovered that they could meet with friends, families, and co-workers via videoconferencing software.
Maybe because many of them were already using Zoom at work for videoconferencing, that app almost immediately became the flavor of the day.
There were a few hiccups along the way — possibly because Zoom was meant to be primarily a business app. Not surprisingly, this led to a considerable backlash, much of it concerning the lack of security for users. In response, the company put additional safety measures in place. For example, it automatically enabled virtual waiting rooms and passwords for accounts in its free and lowest-paid tiers, and encouraged people to use unique meeting IDs rather than their permanently assigned personal IDs.
Although there are a number of alternative videoconferencing services available, Zoom is still a popular choice. Zoom automatically adds passwords to accounts, and those passwords can be embedded in the meeting links. Anyone you send that link to will be able to immediately gain access to your meeting without having to separately post a password — and if they decide to post that link publicly, it will negate any security the password might have provided.
So while everyone who uses Zoom has a personal meeting ID, using that ID for all your meetings means more and more people will know that ID, and that increases the chances someone unwelcome may find their way in. For this reason, when you schedule a meeting, Zoom now assumes you want to use an automatically generated unique meeting ID rather than your personal meeting ID. In fact, there are few reasons to use that personal ID — even if you have a regularly scheduled conference with friends, you can simply send out a new invitation with a new meeting ID for each meeting, just to be safe.
As mentioned before, you can approve anyone who wants to join a meeting by using a virtual waiting room, from which you can then either let them in — or not. In addition to the meeting ID, the passcode must be entered before a participant can join a meeting. A passcode can be automatically created and added to your meetings when you schedule in Zoom, or you can designate a passcode to use with your Personal Meeting ID.
To use meeting passcodes, you must enabled the feature in your Zoom settings. A passcode and the Waiting Room feature may be used together or separately but one must be enabled for every meeting. Chats outside of recorded meetings are not logged.
Disabling names changes prevent expelled or unwanted guests from re-joining a meeting under a different name or profile. Got more than 49 people- no problem, use the arrows to scroll through all participants.
Keep track of who is speaking, joining or leaving a meeting. Press mute Mute one or all participants in a meeting to minimise distractions and audio feedback.

Both types of IDs can be used for instant meetings , one-time scheduled meetings, and recurring scheduled meetings. The self-generated ID, based on the type of meeting, will have a different expiration time: for immediate meetings it expires at the end of the meeting , for one-time scheduled ones it expires after 30 days from the scheduled date, for recurring scheduled meetings it expires after days of inactivity.
The personal ID , on the other hand, behaves like the self-generated one of recurring scheduled meetings, so it expires later days of non-use. You can then choose which type of ID to use for your meetings. In the case of an immediate meeting, just start the Zoom application via the desktop client or the mobile device app and then press the orange New meeting icon to start it with generic ID or press the arrow next to the item and select the box uses the ID of the staff meeting SMEs.
At this point, if you are using the client, the meeting will start with the ID of your choice.
